Celebrate Pride Month in Guam
TAMUNING, Guam—Guam Pride 2017 celebrates National LGBT Pride Month with The Party: Love Wins! this Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 8pm to 2am at The Globe Ultra Lounge in Tumon.
The event is one in a series of events planned for June, the month annually designated against discrimination and violence toward members of the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) community.
The theme for The Party: Love Wins! is rainbows, drag queens, club kids couture, Banjee Boy realness, and anything fierce, unique, and anything over the top. Entertainment includes the internationally renowned DJ duo from New York City, Will and Nita Aviance of The Carry Nation; Drag Superstar Pangina Heals from Bangkok, Thailand; and Diva Diamond Burlesque star Renae McPhearson.
Everyone is encouraged to dress up in your best look from the 80s, your favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race Queen, or celebrate Love Wins! as the Queen of Hearts herself! Tickets are on sale now at Fokai in Tumon and at Black Tie Events in the Julale Center in Hagåtña. Tickets are also available online at https://guampride2017.eventbrite.com/. Five dollars from ticket sales goes to help fund the non-profit advocacy organization ISA LGBTQ Guam.
