The Carolinian Affairs Office and the Division of Youth Services will be co-hosting two summer camps this summer for children ages 6 to 12.

The first camp will be from July 8 to July 18 at the Tanapag Youth Center, while the second camp will be from July 22 to Aug. 1 at the San Isidro Youth Learning Center. Both camps will be from 7:30am to 11:30am.

Slots are limited to 65 per camp, to be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. DYS and CAO are encouraging participants to submit applications as soon as possible.

Both CAO and DYS are also looking for volunteers ages 13 and up, preferably youth volunteers because they want to focus on peer-on-peer support. Volunteers will be oriented on ground rules and procedures before the start of both camps.

This summer camp, to be called Summer Youth Empowerment Camp, will not only focus on sports and arts as it did in previous years. It will also share presentations about mental health awareness and survival skills such as planting and net fishing.

Participation is free; snacks will be provided.

Forms are available at the Carolinian Affairs Office in Garapan and the Division of Youth Services offices in Chalan Piao between 8am to 4pm.

Interested participants are encouraged to submit applications to CAO or DYS by Friday, June 21, 4pm.

For more information, contact CAO at (670) 234-6385 or DYS at (670) 237-1016.
