The 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer committee is inviting all cancer survivors or those currently undergoing cancer treatment to attend the annual survivor dinner held in their honor at the MMAC event.

“Every year the MMAC committee hosts all cancer survivors at the MMAC survivor dinner. This complimentary dinner is held to honor and celebrate their perseverance and determination to continue the fight against this dreadful affliction,” said 2012 MMAC overall committee chair Catherine Attao-Toves. “All survivors who register and attend the free dinner will be given a unique medallion and t-shirt commemorating their fight against cancer. In addition, all survivors may bring a guest.

The 2012 MMAC survivor dinner is being sponsored by title sponsor Take Care/FHP. All survivors and those currently undergoing cancer treatment are encouraged to register with MMAC survivor committee chairwoman Nora Sablan. Sablan may be reached at 235-0994-8 or via email at norasablan@gmail.com.

“At the same time, we want to encourage all members of our community who have been directly affected by cancer to register with the Commonwealth Cancer Association so that we may keep our cancer database up to date. Registration with the CCA is voluntary and all information submitted will be kept strictly confidential,” said Attao-Toves.

To register with the CCA contact CCA program director Juan L. Babauta at 682-0050 or email jlb6550@yahoo.com.

The 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer will be held on April 27-28 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao. For more information call 285-1828, email attaoc@yahoo.com or visit www.ccamarianas.org.
