Popular Japanese women’s magazine CanCam is planning a second feature on the Marianas for their young female readers.
In one of its September 2017 editions, CanCam will feature model Mistuki Yamamoto in a seven-page spread shot on Saipan in May.
The magazine targets women in their 20s who are interested in fashion, beauty, and travel. It circulates 213,000 copies monthly and receives 250,000 unique users monthly on its website. In April, the magazine ran the cover story “Everything You Can Do in the Marianas: Saipan, Tinian, and Rota,” nine pages of coverage on the islands.
“Cancam is quite a popular magazine in Japan, and we’re very happy that they’ve chosen to do two features about the Marianas in such a short span of time,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “By negotiating this coverage, the MVA aims to reach a new generation of Japanese travelers with images of all that Saipan, Tinian, and Rota have to offer.”
Sites and attractions to be featured include beach barbecue and sunset at Aqua Resort Club Saipan and parasailing at award-winning Managaha and Micro Beach. The group stayed at Hyatt Regency Saipan during their visit. The estimated ad exposure value is nearly $200,000. (MVA)
