Cabrera graduates magna cum laude

Jatanna Sherise Palacios Cabrera graduated with magna cum laude honors from the Northern Marianas College last Saturday, May 24, obtaining two associate of applied science degrees in Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting and Business Management.

While working at Bridge Capital, LLC as an accounting intern, Cabrera persevered in her studies. A proud member and treasurer of the NMC Beta Lambda Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, Cabrera was a four-time recipient of the First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine Businesswoman of the Year Scholarship Awards.

While pursuing her education and garnering hands-on experience, Cabrera exercised her social responsibilities through active involvement in various community services in her capacity as a student and as a citizen. A recipient of the Community Service Learning Award at her Saipan Southern High School alma mater, Cabrera also bagged the Community Service Award at NMC.

Cabrera is the daughter of Glenda Palacios and Bernard Aldan Cabrera. Her proud parents and family wish her much success as she pursues her bachelor’s degree in Accounting and in obtaining her goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant. (PR)
