The Tissue-culture Laboratory, a partnership between Guam Department of Agriculture and the University of Guam, announces new banana plants for sale.

The Guam Department of Agriculture Tissue-culture Project is a collaborative effort to offer disease-free planting stock to local farmers and backyard gardeners. There are several popular varieties of bananas currently available including Dwarf Cavendish, Red Dacca, Dwarf French Plantain, and Williams. Prices range from $3 to $7 depending on the size of the pot.

Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to grow and harvest your own delicious bananas. The best time to visit the Department of Agriculture nurseries for purchasing banana plants is Monday to Friday, 8am-12pm or 1pm-3pm.
