‘IT’ will not be fair

Let us not forget that in March 2009, Eulogio Inos ordered the release of payment to an elderly landowner some hundreds of thousands of dollars for land compensation settlement without ensuring that all proper and required documentations are in place. What about the other landowners? At the time he stated that “details regarding this claim and settlement are on file with the Department of Public Lands.” He lied because there isn’t any settlement agreement on file.

Now this election year, Eulogio Inos is assuring landowners that he will be fair in future land compensation payments. Is he joking? Is this his admission of unfairness in the past? This fairness assurance is nothing but another “wolf bearing gifts” to make landowners believe they will be paid so they will vote for him. The problem is he is assuring landowners “compensation payments [will be made] once money becomes available” in the future. When will this be—five, 10, 20 years from today? Many of the landowners have passed away! Landowners were expecting at the hearing to hear when they will get paid their rightful land compensation. Instead they heard lawmakers blaming each other where is the $40 million that was supposed to pay for land compensation. Pay them now, there is money. Stop lying again. “IT” is so unfair!
