U.S. District Court for the NMI Magistrate Judge Heather L. Kennedy has set for Friday a settlement conference in the racketeering lawsuit filed by businesswoman Jung Ja Kim against lawyer Ramon K. Quichocho.

In a Friday order, Kennedy said the conference that she will preside over shall be attended by an authorized representative and counsel for each party.
“Parties are invited, but not required, to submit a confidential statement to the settlement judge,” she said.

Kim, a Korean investor, filed the racketeering lawsuit against Quichocho and his wife, and the Quichocho law firm. She used to be client of Quichocho. She also filed separate disciplinary complaints against the lawyer. (Ferdie de la Torre)
