12 sign up for Little Miss Pusong Pinoy
With still days before the Jan. 15 deadline for candidates, the United Filipino Organization’s staging of the Little Miss Pusong Pinoy 2014 already looks promising.
UFO president Annamae Adaza said that, as of Jan. 7, a total of 12 candidates have already signified their intention of joining the beauty and talent pageant for girls 6-9 years old.
“As of now we have 12 candidates but with a lot of inquiries we are expecting more will join. We might also change the venue because we need a bigger place but it still under negotiation, but the date and time is still Feb. 16. It’s a Sunday and good thing the next day Monday is a holiday, President’s Day.”
The original venue for the event was the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.
Adaza reminded those who want to join not to wait for the Jan. 15 deadline. She said UFO will be holding a general meeting and orientation for the Little Miss Pusong Pinoy 2014 today, Jan. 9, 5:30pm at the Saipan Music & Dance Studio in Garapan.
“Just be there for the general meeting and they can fill up the application on the spot. They just need to bring a copy of their daughter’s birth certificate. Once we have enough candidates then we will stop accepting applications,” she said.
Contestants for the Little Miss Pusong Pinoy 2014 will be competing for Best in Talent, Best in Evening Gown, question-and-answer portion, along with some special categories like Darling of the Crowd, Star of the Night, Miss Friendship, and Miss Photogenic.
Winners will receive cash prizes of $800 for first place, $500 for second, $300 for third, and $100 for fourth place.
The Top 4 will also get gift packs, certificates of participation, and a sash and a bouquet of flowers, while non-winners will receive consolation cash prizes, gift packs, and certificates of participation.
