In an effort to increase the response of police officers to complaints, the Department of Public Safety’s Police Division has put in place regulations that require all marked emergency vehicles to be parked facing away from the DPS Central Office in Susupe.

DPS would like motorists to be aware of this situation so they approach the building and surrounding parking areas cautiously, so that accidents don’t occur if an officer needs to leave the parking lot in haste. Also, when approaching the office area on the roadway, be cautious that officers will be backing their vehicles into the parking spots so traffic may need to halted to accommodate.

Also, the parking spots adjacent to the office are for marked emergency vehicles only. DPS asks citizens who are visiting the offices to park in either the parking lot west of the office building or to the north at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles parking lot. (DPS)
