New Year baby gets gifts from MARPAC
The parents of Saipan’s New Year baby have more reason to smile this extended holiday season after MARPAC showered Ilia’mae Muña with an assortment of gifts that include Huggies, Enfamil, and Kotex products.
There were actually quite a few babies delivered on Jan. 1, 2014. However Ilia’mae Muña was the very first baby to come into this world on 2014 and MARPAC was more than happy to share its blessings with the newborn.
The island’s New Year baby was born at 8:13am in the morning of Jan. 1, 2014, to first-time parents Jerry Muña and Nenita Annie Rose Romolor.
Ilia’mae Muña was delivered by Dr. Weimer and she weighed 8 lbs and was 35 cm long at birth.
Her parents are both 18 years old and are graduating seniors at Saipan Southern High and Kagman High School.
Ilia’mae Muña is also Caridad Saures-Kaipat’s first granddaughter.
The new parents were thankful to MARPAC for visiting and donating gifts to Ilia’mae Muña yesterday morning at the Commonwealth Health Center.
The gifts given to the 2014 New Year baby include Huggies Newborn Diapers, Huggies Baby Wipes, Kotex Overnights, Enfamil Newborn Formula, Huggies bibs, and shirts for the family, etc.
MARPAC consumer sales manager Tom Basa Jr. congratulated the proud parents and grandparents on the safe arrival of their newest family member.
“On behalf of the Marpac Consumer Department we’d like to congratulate the first baby born of 2014. We wish the parents and the baby a bright future and look forward to doing this again for the 2015 CNMI New Year Baby.”
