The Northern Marianas Athletics will host the 32nd Annual Christmas Island Relay tomorrow.

The 13.7-mile race will start at the southern parking lot of Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio and end at the Last Command Post in Marpi. The race will begin at 6am.

Participants will compete in mixed teams of five runners, who will individually alternate through one-mile stages from start to finish. One of the members of each team must either be 16 years old or younger, a female, or in the 40-and-above age group. Solo runners are also encouraged to tackle the same course.

The relay is just one of the many activities and events that NMA hosts in its continued efforts to promote physical fitness, health, and wellness and fight obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and many other medical conditions that plague the people of the CNMI.

As the last event of every busy year, NMA will host this event in the spirit of good tidings and goodwill with a hearty little breakfast as a way to reach out and thank the many people who have participated in so many NMA events. (PR)
