SOBRIETY CHECKPOINTS
The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting three sobriety checkpoints today, Dec. 20, 2013.
– 5:30pm to 6:45pm along Beach Road Susupe, in front of the Multi-Purpose Center, on the northbound lane.
– 8:30pm to 9:45pm along Chalan Pale Arnold, Gualo Rai, in front of the St. Michael’s Office, on the southbound lane.
– 11:30pm to 12:45am along Beach Road, Chalan Lau Lau, adjacent to the late Dr. Benusto Kaipat’s residence, on the southbound lane.

– Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, 9pm to 10:15pm along the southbound lane of Broadway Road by the Youth Center in San Jose Village.
– Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, 10pm to 11:15pm along the eastbound lane of Route 202 by Hung Shung Supermarket.
– Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, 12am to 1:15am along the southbound lane of Broadway by the Youth Center.
– Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, 8pm to 9:15pm along Broadway Road by Natibu Park.
– Friday, Dec. 31, 2013, 10pm to 11:15pm on the eastbound lane by the baseball field.

– 9pm to 10:15pm along the San Francisco Highway, Guata area.
– 12am to 1:15am along the San Francisco Highway, Sinapalo 3 area.
[B]TUESDAY, DEC. 31, 2013[/B]– 6:30pm to 7:45pm along the San Francisco Highway, Sinapalo 3 area.
– 9pm to 10:15pm along the San Francisco Highway, Chaliat area.
– 12am to 1:15am along the San Francisco Highway, Tatachog area.
– 2:30am to 3:45am along the San Francisco Highway, Lotgan area.
Each checkpoint will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes). Checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain. This activity is part of the department’s effort to deter, detect and apprehend impaired drivers and to ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions and laser (speed detection) enforcement.
