Woman allegedly attacks ex-boyfriend
A woman allegedly stormed the house of her former boyfriend, beat him up, and attacked him with a butcher knife in Chalan Kanoa Sunday night.
Darlene Palacios Halstead, 27, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. Her bail was set at $10,000 cash.
Police detective Isapen Bokuku stated in her report that Halstead had gone to the house of her former boyfriend but the latter told her to leave as they are no longer together.
That’s when Halstead allegedly attacked her former boyfriend, punching him several times in the body. She then allegedly grabbed a butcher knife from the sink and swung it at him. The former boyfriend ran out the front door and Halstead followed him outside. She went over to the clothesline and began cutting his uniforms and his other clothes that were there.
Halstead then went back inside the house and began yelling profanities.
The alleged victim told police that the attack started when Halstead accused him of having an affair with a woman who at the time had parked her vehicle across the street.
Halstead picked up a rock and was about to throw it at a vehicle belonging to the Tinian Liaison Office but he blocked her. He then told the woman to go because Halstead was out of control.
Halstead proceeded to his house where she allegedly beat him up and attacked him with the butcher knife.
The alleged victim said he felt scared because Halstead was “high” at that time.
It was a witness who called the police.
