CUC sets power outage

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. will be performing maintenance on the power distribution system servicing CUC water wells in the Obyan area today, Dec. 12. This will require interruptions in the Kiya 1 circuit.
A power interruption from 9:30am through 9:45am is scheduled to isolate the project site. Areas that will be affected at the AARF, Hawaiian Rock, GPPC Quarry, GPPC field office (south side of the airport runway), Naftan Road, Dela Concepcion Dr., Obyan Beach Dr., Santa Margarita Pl., Ladder Beach Ln., and CUC water wells.
However, CUC water wells (OB-3 to OB-12), GPPC field office (south of the airport runway), and AARF will remain offline.
At 12:30pm, the power will be interrupted once again to complete the repairs and re-energize all affected areas.
Water services may be affected in the area during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is re-energized.
