TINIAN—Tinian Mayor Ramon Dela Cruz and Lt. Gov. Jude Hofschneider played host to Adm. Harry Harris, commander-in-chief of the Pacific Fleet, during the latter’s visit to the atomic bomb pits on North Field yesterday afternoon. Harris was accompanied by Rear Adm. Tilghman Payne, commanding officer of Joint Region Marianas.

In the morning, Dela Cruz, Tinian CPA ports manager Joseph Mendiola, and Hofschneider welcomed home Marine Corps Capt. Adrian Evangelista, who is participating in the ongoing Forager Fury II exercise on the island.

Joining them in welcoming Evangelista to his home island was the pilot’s mother and father, Evelyn and Antonio Evangelista. Also greeting the Tinian high school graduate were Attorney General Joey San Nicholas, Anthony Hofschneider Aguon, the Lt. Governor’s chief of staff; and Greg Cing, newly appointed MIMC coordinator, all also Tinian High School graduates. (PR)
