PCC Thanksgiving fundraiser raises $38K
Palau Community College held its annual Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser Event on Nov. 27, 2013 and managed to raise a total of $38,642.
The money was raised hrough the sales of tickets, totaling $24,110; donations, $14,207; and telephone pledges, $325.
The event was held at the Mesekiu Bai in the PCC Courtyard.
Ticket buyers consisted of businesses, government agencies, and state governments as well as numerous individuals in the community. Donations included monetary contributions and prizes such as a laptop, piglet, and a summer house. Telephone pledges included donations from Joe Giramur, John Skebong, Orion Maritime Services, and Governor Wilson Ongos.
PCC would like to congratulate P. I. E – Printing Photo Service for winning the Summer House Grand Prize valued at $5,000 as well as P. I. T. I for winning the baby grand prize, a United Airlines trip to Guam with $350, and Julita Tellei for winning the baby grand prize, a United Airlines trip to Australia with $350.
The college would like to thank all the donors, pledgers, and ticket buyers for supporting the Annual PCC Thanksgiving Endowment Fundraiser. Your generous contributions will assist Palau’s only institute of higher learning achieve better educational conditions for the students of Palau and Micronesia.
