Hofschneider honors Capt. Adrian Evangelista
TINIAN—Lt. Gov. Jude U. Hofschneider honored U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Adrian R. Evangelista with a plaque of special recognition yesterday during a Marine Corps exercise on the island of Tinian.
Evangelista, who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and is now a V-22 Osprey pilot for the U.S. Marine Corps, successfully landed a V-22 Osprey at the Tinian International Airport yesterday morning. He and the V-22 crew were greeted by Evangelista’s family and friends, as well as CNMI dignitaries, including Hofschneider, Tinian Mayor Ramon Dela Cruz, the Tinian Municipal Council, and Attorney General Joey Patrick San Nicolas.
“I am proud to be here to greet a son of the Northern Mariana Islands on behalf of Gov. [Eloy] Inos, myself, and the people of the Northern Marianas,” said Hofschneider. “We congratulate Captain Evangelista for all of his accomplishments and thank him for his service to our islands and our nation. He truly is a role model to all our youth here in the CNMI.”
