Triple J Motors inks partnership with NMIFA
Triple J Motors and Northern Mariana Islands Football Association have forged a deal, making the auto dealership the vehicle sponsor of the sports group.
Under the agreement, Triple J Motors is providing NMIFA with a 2013 Hyundai Accent sedan to use for its operations for two years. Triple J Motors general manager Randy Steele formally turned over the car to NMIFA president Jerry Tan in a brief ceremony at the Oleai Sports Complex Field last Tuesday morning. NMIFA technical director Johann Noetzel was also present at the turnover ceremony.
Steele said talks about Triple J’s partnership with NMIFA started after the association’s vice president Vickie Izuka approached him about a vehicle sponsorship for the football group. Steele added that Triple J Motors acknowledges the impact of soccer to the youth so the deal was eventually sealed.
“I’ve coached youth soccer teams for four years now, so I’m very familiar with the wonderful social and athletic benefits that soccer offers to the CNMI’s youth. Playing soccer is a great way for our kids to become ‘a part of something’ while getting valuable exercise and developing team-building skills. Also, many of my ‘soccer parents’ have become automotive customers of ours due to my association with the NMIFA. So the ‘match’ was easy, we just needed to iron out how to go about the sponsorship,” Steele said.
“Triple J Motors has provided the NMIFA with a 2013 Hyundai Accent sedan to use for two years. The beautiful artwork seen on the car was designed by Triple J Creative Services of Guam while Ideal Signs of Saipan printed and installed the graphics to the car. The Accent has an EPA fuel-rating of up to 37mpg highway, is equipped with Bluetooth hands-free mobile capability, lots of standard safety features and has a trunk-space large enough for at least two big bags of soccer balls and cones,” the MP United FC coach added.
Tan thanked Triple J Motors for agreeing to a sponsorship pact with NMIFA.
“On behalf of NMIFA, I would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Triple J Motors for this tremendous support. Thanks for supporting and believing the work that we do at NMIFA in developing football. I want to assure Triple J management that everyone at NMIFA is fully committed to make this community a healthier one thru playing football,” Tan said.
For this part, Noetzel acknowledged Triple J Motors long-standing commitment to community service.
“Triple J Motors has been a big supporter of the community in the past and their commitment is currently exemplified by their manager Randy Steele, who is one of the most successful youth coaches this season in the NMIFA U10 division. Triple J has teamed up with NMIFA as the flagship vehicle sponsor of the FA, providing a beautiful, brand new Hyundai Accent. We are very pleased to have a quality organization like Triple J Motors partner up with us to better serve the community,” Noetzel said.
The NMIFA technical director added that the partnership only proved that both parties share a common goal, which is to reach out to the community.
“Football is the vehicle through which NMIFA is promoting sport, active lifestyle, responsibility, teamwork, and character building. Hyundai and Mazda are the vehicles through which Triple J Motors is promoting those same values not only with the sales/management team at the dealership, but also with their relationships to the community,” Noetzel said.
Tan added that Triple J Motors’s support is a big help for an association that is busy implementing programs throughout the year.
“NMIFA has a year-round program though its youth league, M-League, women’s league, futsal league, beach soccer league, school league, and as well as training of various national teams for off-island competition. It is very challenging financially to operate this year-round program without the support from our various corporate sponsors. We want to thank every sponsor and hoping for their continuing support so we can continue to bring more kids to play football and be healthy,” Tan said.
