Naval Base Guam to conduct tsunami exercise

SANTA RITA, Guam—Naval Base Guam will conduct a tsunami exercise at the installation on Dec. 12.

The exercise will allow NBG and its tenant commands to exercise command and control capabilities in response to such a natural disaster and satisfy internal reporting and training requirements. The exercise will run from approximately 8am to 1pm.

Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see and hear increased activity associated with the exercise.

NBG housing residents on main base are advised to prepare for increased traffic from 10am to 1pm and are advised to shelter in place during the duration of the exercise.
