[B]Saipan chamber meeting today[/B]

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce general membership meeting is on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Saipan World Resort Royal Taga Hall. Luncheon begins at 11:30am, and the meeting agenda starts at noon.

Special guests in attendance are students from public and private schools taking part in the Annual Student Career Exploration Day and their sponsored company representatives.

Guest’s speakers are Paul Miura, the 2013 Teacher of the Year, and Dr. David Longanecker, president of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education.

Luncheon is $20 for SCC members and $30 for guests, non-members and the general public. Reservations are accepted at the Chamber office by calling 233-7150, or emailing coordinator@saipanchamber.com. (SCC)

[B]John Gonzales LIVE schedule today[/B]

Today’s John Gonzales LIVE will feature two back-to-back shows, with replays on Monday, Dec. 9, and Tuesday, Dec. 10. The show also rebroadcasts on www.betelnutradio.com.

From 6:30pm to 7:30pm, the Northern Marianas Descent Corp. will discuss federal immigration and indigenous rights.

From 7:30pm to 8:30pm, the Division of Environmental Quality and Department of Public Lands will discuss Brownfields cleanup and restoration of contaminated public lands for public reuse/resettlement.
