Voyagers, 8Ballers lead SBA league

The Jokers IT&E Voyagers and Poseidon 8Ballers managed to hang on to their shaky leads in the SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League last week.
The Voyagers earned 146-64 record after last week’s games in the Tuesday League to keep its precarious advantage over Joe’s Saint Trading, which holds a 144-66 slate. Oceanside Docomo Hustlers is in third place with a 130-80 record, while Johnny’s Crazy 8 and Bammy’s Triggers are way behind in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Johnny’s Crazy 8 has a 108-102 card, while Bammy’s Triggers sports a 102-108 mark.
In the Thursday League, Poseidon 8Ballers also has a two-win lead over Poseidon Drunken Hustlers with the former earning a 126-84 card after last week’s games against the 124-86 of the latter.
Completing Thursday League’s standings are SOS Alamo Car Rental (121-89), Jokers Homeboyz (119-91), Bammy’s Equalizers (112-98), Wild Bill’s Crazy 8 (97-113), Jonny Team’s SCS (89-121), and Jonny’s Gentlemen (52-158).
Meanwhile, the playoff round in the Thursday League started last night with Poseidon 8Ballers colliding against Jokers Homeboyz and Poseidon Drunker Hustlers battling SOS Alamo Car Rental. Teams in the Thursday and Tuesday divisions will play in a two-week playoff round with the top finisher in each division fighting for the season championship. (Saipan Tribune)
