Jehovah’s Witnesses invite all to attend assembly
A few times each year, Jehovah’s Witnesses meet together in large groups. This month in Saipan, the “God’s Word Is Beneficial for Teaching!” Circuit Assembly will be held at the Marianas High School Gymnasium in Susupe. People from all over Saipan and Tinian will be joining together for this spiritually encouraging program.
The assembly theme is based on 2 Timothy 3:16 and will emphasize how we can live by Bible standards and how we benefit from the teachings of the bible. The public address on Sunday at 1:50pm will be “Who Is ‘Rocking’ the Nations, and How?” All are invited to listen to the satisfying answer to that important question. A variety of public speakers from Guam, Tinian, Saipan, and Marshall Islands will deliver the faith-strengthening program. This two-day event will begin Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at 9:40am. All people are invited to attend. You won’t be charged admission, and no collection will be taken.
In preparation for the assembly, dozens of volunteers will assist in cleaning the MHS gym before the program. At a past gathering of Jehovah’s Witnesses held at MHS the principal of the school said, “I was very impressed by your cleaning. So many volunteers came and cleaned the gym. Thank you so much for your hard work.” Hoon Ahn, who is responsible for organizing the event, explains why Jehovah’s Witnesses volunteer to do this work, “When new ones attend, we want them to have a favorable impression of our meeting place. We show respect for our meeting place by doing what we can to keep it in good condition. We also take it as a privilege to volunteer our time to assist in cleaning, mending, and repairing our place of worship.”
Regular meetings for worship are held on Sundays at 9:30am and 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Saipan located at the end of the road next to Bali Fashion on Middle Road. There are also meetings every week in Tinian and Rota. The public is always welcome and no collections are ever taken. There are over 7 million Witnesses in 239 lands.
