A Korean businessman and his former company have asked the federal court to issue a default judgment against three persons who they named in a racketeering lawsuit over an alleged conspiracy to steal millions of dollars from him for his hotel and casino project on Saipan.

Il Hwan Kim and KSA Corp., through counsel Pamela Brown-Blackburn, disclosed that they already served the summons and complaint on Hun Jin An, Jeong Eun Taek, and Joann P. Hensley.

Brown-Blackburn said An, Taek, and Hensley failed to answer the lawsuit.

Brown-Blackburn did not provide other information in the plaintiffs’ motion for entry of default.

Aside from those three defendants, KSA Corp. and Il Hwan Kim are suing former Public Lands secretary Oscar M. Babauta, former DPL employee Ramon S. Salas, and 10 unnamed co-defendants pursuant to Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organizations Act and other causes of action.

The plaintiffs asked the court to hold them liable for damages, court costs, and attorney’s fees.
