CRIME OF THE WEEK
Burglary, vandalism at Kagman school
NMI Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a burglary and criminal mischief incident that occurred at the Kagman Elementary School.
On Monday, April 5, 2014, at about 6:15 am, DPS Central dispatched police officers to a reported burglary and vandalism incident located at the Kagman Elementary School. Police learned from school employees that they first discovered traffic cones scattered throughout the parking lot. Then they noticed the bulletin board had been damaged, and two water faucets in building “C” had been broken, with gushing water flooding the parking lot.
The cafeteria was in disarray. Fruit juice containers, water bottles, and napkins were scattered over the cafeteria floor. Cleaning agents were poured onto cases of beverage stored in the chillers, refrigerators, and storage areas, making the drinks unfit for consumption. This was the third time the school was vandalized in recent months. The crimes occurred sometime over the weekend.
