Burglary at LC Market caught on tape

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a burglary incident at LC Market, Gualo Rai, Saipan.

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at about 8:46am, police met with the victim (owner), a 30-year-old Asian male. Police learned that the victim had noticed his video surveillance system for the storage room was not working. The victim checked the camera and noticed it was unplugged and a generator was missing. The victim reviewed the surveillance footage and showed the police video footage of two suspects walking into the storage room and carrying a generator out.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned local male wearing a long-sleeved dark shirt, a pair of light-colored shorts, a pair of slippers, and a dark baseball cap. The second suspect is described as wearing a long-sleeved light-colored shirt and a pair of light-colored shorts. The video surveillance is time-stamped Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at 23:56 hours (11:56pm).

The stolen generator is described as a yellow two-wheel generator (no brand name available) 8,500-watt diesel/gas engine valued at over $1,000.
