On Monday, June 8, 2020, at about 9:16am, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a burglary and theft incident at a JG Sablan warehouse in Lower Base. Police were dispatched to the scene.

At the scene, officers met with the caller who also owns the warehouse. The caller led police into the warehouse to show the damages to the office door. The caller also told officers that a 32” RCA flat-screen TV with a built-in DVD player had been taken. At this time an inventory of items within the warehouse is being conducted. The burglary was recorded on a surveillance camera.

DPS would like to remind the public to be diligent when purchasing television sets and/or electronics from unknown individuals, or online. If you or someone you know has been approached recently by any individual offering to sell you a 32” RCA flat-screen TV with a built-in DVD player we encourage you to call 911 immediately, or if you wish to remain anonymous you may call the CNMI Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest. (PR)
