The ability of Best Sunshine International, Ltd. to provide community support where it is needed has proven remarkably successful, as it continues to enable its Corporate Social Responsibility team to explore more ways to support the islands’ needs.

For the exclusive Saipan casino licensee, its CSR team has become an important tool to maximize its campaign to further positive development impact in the Commonwealth.

From March 7 to 11, a team of about 20 BSI-CSR employees successfully repaired and rehabilitated five public facilities on Rota—all for the preservation of the pristine beauty of the island.

“The Rota (Village Pride Project) was a very rewarding project for our team. In a span of three weeks, from the planning to coordination and actual execution of the five improvements project, we did it,” CSR director Geri Dela Cruz said.

“Our team worked alongside the Rota Mayor’s Office and the administration in extending our VPP to Rota,” she added.

At the Rota Mayor’s Office, the BSI-CSR team painted the walls and did aesthetic enhancement and grass work.

BSI-CSR also rehabilitated the Guata Beach Park. The group also painted its main pavilion and repaired the park’s swing set.

At the Teneto Basketball Court, new backboards, rims, and nets were acquired to replace the worn out equipment. It also conducted massive cleanup and painting.

The two pavilions at the Sinapalo Children’s Park were painted and at the same time grass work and power cleanup were conducted.

Similar heavy rehabilitation and cleanup were also initiated at district 2’s basketball court which includes power wash of the court, grass work, painting of the backboards, and installation of backboards.

Rota Mayor Efraim Atalig extended his appreciation to the BSI-CSR team.

“We are truly appreciative of [BSI’s] commitment and generosity in extending this [Village Pride Project] to Rota,” Atalig was quoted as saying.
