Best Sunshine International Ltd. chief operating officer Matthew Harkness handed a $5,000 check to Rose Smith of Empty Vessel Ministry and Spencer Marchadesch, manager of the mayor’s office dog control program, on April 29, 2015, to help support the upcoming spay and neuter clinics on Saipan.

“Best Sunshine is pleased to be contributing to this worthy cause. As a new member of the community, we support the Office of the Mayor’s island beautification program,” said Harkness.
Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang said, “We are fortunate to receive a monetary donation from one of our island’s newest growing business, Best Sunshine International. The donation will assure that pets on our island will receive the health care they need to live healthier.”
A spayed or neutered dog is a healthier, happier, and friendlier pet than one that is not.
Empty Vessel Ministry is assisting the Office of the Mayor of Saipan with preparation for the May 19 to 29 spay and neuter clinic, which will be operated by a team of veterinarians and veterinary support technicians from Animal Balance and Humane Society International.
With the monetary donation, “we will be able to make the clinic affordable and conveniently accessible to pet owners for a very limited time,” said Marchadesch.
Smith said, “It is our mission to assist the community in any way we possibly can, and collaborating with Office of the Mayor of Saipan, Animal Balance, Humane Society International, and Best Sunshine International is carrying out our purpose.” (PR)
