Brotherhood also Belau softball stats leaders

Brotherhood has been dominating its opponents in the 2017 Belau Masters Men’s Softball League thanks to its players that are in the Top 10 statistical leaders in batting and pitching.

Batters need to have 21 or more times at bat to be included on the list of batting leaders, while pitching was based on 10 or more innings pitched.

As of Aug. 12, Brotherhood remains undefeated after 10 games, while Peleliu is in second with a 9-1 slate followed by Momma Charu (6-3) and Karui’s 6-4 record.

SA Masters (4-6), Asahi (3-6), Sufa (3-7), Papa Bears (2-7), and Red Torch (0-9) complete the standings of the nine-team field.

Bill Camacho led three other Brotherhood players that are the batting leaders with an average of .814 or going 22-of-27 at the plate. Joe Lizama, Julian Camacho, and John Terlaje joined Bill Camacho at fourth to sixth places, respectively.

Lizama went 38-of-26 for .684, Julian Camacho batted 17-of-26 for .654, while Terlaje has 18 hits in 29 times at bat for a .621 average.

Jojo Attao of the Papa Bears was in second (.750), while Ron Olopai of Momma Chaurd came in third (.714).

The SA Masters’ Mike Sablan (.619), Karui’s Steve Igisair (.611), Momma Charu’s Payton Sakuma (.609), and the Papa Bears’ Joseph Celis (.600) complete the list from seventh to eighth places.

Lizama is the current runs score leader with 23 followed by Bill Camacho, Dominic Hideo and Lefty Shiro with 20 each. Shiro had the most doubles with seven, while Phil Celis had six, and George David, Jack Guerrero, and Tito Laniyo have five each.«

Bill Camacho leads the players with the most triples with five, while Hideo, Chris Harumi, and Nizer Masayos have three apiece.

Taylor Watanabe is the current homerun leader with nine followed closely by Dominic Remilik’s nine, and the seven each of Sakuma and Mabel Ngirngemelas. Watanabe also leads the RBI department with 30, while Igisair had 23, and Attao, Shiro, and Jerry Ayuyu have 21 each.

Momma Charu’s Leo Bobai leads the pitching department with a 5.37 ERA or allowing 33 earned runs and 98 hits in the 43 innings he pitched in the eight games. Joseph Celis came in second with a 6.09 ERA followed by Brotherhood’s John Diaz’s 6.51.

Peleliu’s Rush Kintaro (7.00), Karui’s Lucian George (7.17), Ray Villagomez of Peleliu (7.32), Sufa’s Tom Camacho (7.89), SA Masters’ John Cepeda (8.12), Papa Bears’ John Maratita (9.38), and Igisair (10.10) are the other pitching leaders.

Diaz of Brotherhood has the most strikeouts with 22 with Tom Camacho not far behind with 18 followed by Leo Bobai’s 17, the 16 of John Cepeda, and the 15 each of Leo Iskawa and Igisair.
