Brilliant Star to host garage sale on Sunday

The Brilliant Star School will be holding a multi-family garage sale this Sunday, and school principal Richard Sikkel is inviting anyone who wants to sell their stuff to secure a booth at the event.
The multi-family garage sale will begin at 8am at the school grounds on Navy Hill next to the baseball field.
Sikkel said yesterday that Brilliant Star usually holds a multi-family garage sale in the beginning of the year but this one is an “impromptu” garage sale of current and former parents of their students “who are just trying to clear some space in the house or who are leaving island.”
Those hunting for great bargains can check out the garage sale where items such as furniture, clothes, books, children’s toys, and others will be available.
No food will be sold at the event.
To set up a booth, interested vendors will be asked to give a $20 donation that will be used to put on a fresh coat of paint for the school building over the summer, said Sikkel.
According to Sikkel, seven families have already secured a spot on Sunday’s event but they can accommodate “as many vendors as our campus can hold.”
“We would like to invite everyone to join us on Sunday at 8am on Navy Hill next to the baseball field,” said Sikkel. “There will be lots of great items for sale for bargain prices.”
