An alleged speeding pickup truck being driven by a male teenager hit and killed a heavily intoxicated male pedestrian along Chalan Pale Arnold in Garapan early Sunday morning.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Jacqueline Rae Shepard said today, Tuesday, that the pedestrian sustained multiple injuries and was pronounced dead by the Commonwealth Health Center staff at 6:23am.

Shepard said the driver, 18-year-old Alvin Limes Pua, and his female passenger were also treated at CHC for injuries.

Pua was later arrested after testing positive for consumption of alcohol over the legal limit.
