Christopher Attao Concepcion resigned today, Tuesday, as managing director of the Marianas Visitors Authority.

“It was a fun ride [but] I’m tired,” Concepcion told MVA board of directors during the board meeting.

Concepcion discussed more details about his decision to resign during the executive session.

MVA board chair Marian Aldan-Pierce later said in an interview the MVA board members were shocked but reluctantly accepted Concepcion’s resignation.

Among the many accomplishments that Concepcion had during his term was to secure direct air service from Japan by Skymark Airlines.

Concepcion became the managing director in April 2016. His resignation will be effective April 12, 2019.

More details to follow.
