In line with approved guidance by the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. and due to the continued success of preventative measures at the border by the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres announced on Wednesday that the CNMI COVID-19 Emergency Directives are amended to allow businesses to open from 5am to 1am, allow for social gatherings at public beaches, and to modify curfew hours to 2am and 4am.

These amendments will be effective Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020.

The CNMI remains under Community Vulnerability Level “BLUE,” which signifies significant progress in community-based testing and no presence of community spread of COVID-19 due to protective measures at the border to immediately identify and isolate confirmed cases at designated quarantine sites.
