House Speaker Blas Jonathan Attao (R-Saipan) has created a new bipartisan special committee to review the expenditures of Gov. Ralph DLG Torres.

The House Ways and Means Committee has already received materials relating to expenditures and reimbursements of the current administration but Attao was prompted to create the new committee as Ways and Means will be busy with the 2021 fiscal year budget.

The special committee will have the following members: Rep. Ralph N. Yumul, chairman; Rep. Lorenzo I. Deleon Guerrero, vice chairman; and members Reps. John Paul P. Sablan, Rep. Luis John DLG Castro, Rep. Edwin K. Propst, Rep. Christina M. Sablan, Rep. Donald M. Manglona), and Rep. Edmund S. Villagomez.

Attao also instructed House Ways and Means committee chair Rep. Ivan Blanco and House Judiciary and Governmental Operations committee chair Rep. Joel Camacho to transfer all materials relating to executive expenditures in their possession to the new committee.
