Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization announced that the start up dates for its boys volleyball season has been postponed and is set to commence on Oct. 12 at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

Six teams make up this year’s boys volleyball field, which is scheduled to place from 4pm to 6pm Wednesday next week.

According to the game schedule, the opening matchups will feature Grace Christian Academy Eagles taking on MHS 1 on the north end, while MHS 2 takes on Saipan Southern High School on the south court at 4pm.

Then at 5pm, Saipan International School meets Kagman High School on the north side with both MHS squads battling it out on the south end.

Following Wednesday’s opener, game dates are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays throughout October leading up to its postseason tournament scheduled from Nov. 8 to 10.

Notably, two teams will take turns pulling double duty in rotation per game date.

The KHS Ayuyus are the three-time defending champions and will be looking to make it four in a row. Last year, they swept MHS 1 in the best-of-three finals, 25-12, 25-18.

All games will be held at the MHS Gym.
