Three boxing matches will serve as teasers in Rites of Passage 24: Ragin’ Rumble that will be held on Oct. 26 at the Marianas Business Plaza parking lot.
The first fists match will feature Trench Tech’s Wildon “The Beast” Camacho and Steel Athletics’ (Guam) Steve Kassala. For the second bout, Guam Muay Thai’s Jerreck Bagay will take on independent fighter Dion Borja. The last boxing duel in ROP 24 will be another Saipan versus Guam showdown, as Team Rage’s Nate Nogils challenges Steel Athletics’ Nikko Pascual.
Besides the three boxing bouts, this month’s ROP 24 will have two main events, eight mixed martial arts preliminary matches, three kickboxing duels, and one special K1 fight (special rules).
For the two main fights, Trench Tech’s Vince “The Clinch” Masga and Mark “The Dark” Nuique will be up against VIDA BJJ Guam standouts. Nuique will square off against Pete Benavente, while Masga will battle Zach Benavente.
Shane “Pikaboo” Alvarez, also of Trench Tech and was original set to see action in the main event in the Saipan vs Guam’s triple-header will instead be in a standby and special K1 encounter with Vida BJJ’s Trev “5 Star” Jones.
For the earlier kickboxing matches, Trench Tech’s Jessme “Don’t Test Me” Jones will meet Steel Athletics’ Jaid Senttele, while Ko “PakPak” Palacios, also from Trench Tech, will be matched against Jungle MMA’s Manny “The Kid” Camacho. The third Trench Tech bet to compete in kickboxing is Andres “The Tanapag Beach Bad Boy” Camacho who will take on Guam Muay Thai’s Eric “Young ASAP” Lacambra.
Meanwhile, MMA action will be started by Down2Scrap’s Jadrien “The Last King” Camacho and Guam’s Austin Gaspay as they collide in the 130-lb catch weight.
Up next are Austin Indalecio vs Kenty Anua of Team MeZZing at 135 lbs; Jungle MMA’s Travis Camacho vs Justin “Hot Sauce” Cangco at 135 lbs; Robert Smith vs Trench Tech’s Bradlee “Kaboom” Manalo at 139 lbs; Guam Muay Thai’s Austin “Auzzy P” Petos vs Down2Scrap’s Jonathan “No Love” Camacho at 145 lbs; Red Ants Academy’s Jones Langu vs Spike 22’s Jerome Fujihira at 155-160 lbs; and Pejo Camacho of Steel Athletics vs Team Rage’s Vince Torres at 165 lbs.
Independent fighter Calvin Castro of Guam is also entered in Ragin’ Rumble, but his opponent in the 155 to 160-lb class will be announced later, while Juan “Hot Pocket” Lizama, Junar Jesus, and Darren Taitano are standby fighters. The ROP 24 fight card is tentative and subject to changes.
