HAGÅTÑA, Guam—Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU) recently issued the following statement on United Airlines’ exemption for Guam for the suspension of its PetSafe program. United will permit members of the military and their spouses, and State Department Foreign Service Personnel and their spouses, to travel with or ship their pets out of Guam between April 3 and 30.

“I am very pleased that United Airlines is working to accommodate Guam families and their pets, including our military service members who are re-deployed. I continue working with the Defense Department, other federal agencies, and all airlines serving Guam to ensure that our pets can travel safely with their families off island. As a lifelong animal lover and member of the Congressional Animal Protection Caucus, I am committed to ensuring that our four-legged family members get the humane treatment they deserve by the airlines.” (PR)
