Bordallo files for re-election
HAGÅTÑA, Guam—Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU) filed yesterday her candidacy for congressional representative for Guam. The delegate was joined by her family and friends at the Guam Election Commission at noon for the filing. Bordallo is serving her sixth term as Guam’s representative to the U.S. Congress.
During her 12 years in Congress, Bordallo has focused on issues important to our community. She has worked closely with her colleagues and federal officials to advance Guam issues and advocate for the needs of the island.
Bordallo serves as the Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee Subcommittee on Readiness, a Member of the Armed Services Committee Subcommittee on Military Personnel, Natural Resources Committee Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs, and Natural Resources Committee Subcommittee on Public Lands and Environmental Regulation.
“It has been an honor serving the people of Guam as their delegate to Congress,” said Bordallo. “As a senior member of Congress, I have made great strides to educate my colleagues about the importance of our island and the issues we face. I’ve worked hard to include Guam in federal legislation and provide more economic opportunities for our island and educational opportunities for our children. I am working to improve services for our veterans and will never stop fighting for justice for our man’åmko. We have made a lot of progress on many issues and we can build on this progress in the 114th Congress. I ask for your continued support to represent you in Congress.” (PR)
