Bordallo: B-52 incident reminder of dangers military personnel go through

Share

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today issued the following statement on reports of a B-52 incident at Andersen Air Force Base.

“Today’s incident is a reminder of the danger our men and women in uniform put themselves in every single day whether flying a mission or for training. I’m glad by the initial reports that the crew of the B-52 is ok. I appreciate the close collaboration and quick response and efforts of local and federal first responders to put out the fire and handle the environmental impacts. It’s important that the coordination be seamless so the first responders can save lives. I will be in touch with Andersen AFB leadership to get a better understanding of what led to this incident, and I stand ready to support Andersen AFB.” (PR)
