BOP grants parole to 4 burglars, robber

Board denies 4 others’ parole application

The Board of Parole has granted the request for parole to five convicted burglars and denied the parole application to four others.

Acting chief parole officer Jason Lizama told Saipan Tribune yesterday that granted parole effective last March 8 were Nelson A. Ramon, Gorjonny Vincent V. Camacho, Congrad B. Iba, Jose T. Blas, and Daimeionne Kaleo Greer.

Lizama said denied parole were Mark S. Benavente, Theodore O. Pehnos, Jose B. Manglona Jr., and John I. Carreon.

According to BOP records, Ramon will be on parole for six months. His full completion of parole will be on Aug. 23, 2016. He was slapped with two years imprisonment for burglary.

Camacho will be on parole for six months and two days. His full completion of parole will be on Sept. 16, 2016. He was convicted of burglary and was sentenced to two years.

Iba will be on parole for two years and one month. He will complete his parole on April 15, 2018. He was sentenced for three years for burglary.

Blas will be on parole for three months and 24 days. He will complete his parole on June 9, 2016. He was convicted for burglary and sentenced to one year and three months.

Greer will complete his parole until Aug. 23, 2017. He was sentenced to two years and six months for robbery.

For those denied parole, Benavente was sentenced to two years for burglary. Pehnos was sentenced to three years for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Manglona Jr. was sentenced to two years and six months for theft and violation of probation.

Carreon was sentenced to nine years imprisonment for sexual abuse of a minor.

Unless the court orders no parole, convicted criminals are legible to apply for parole after serving 1/3 of their prison term.

Ramon B. Camacho chairs BOP. The other members are Wally Villagomez, Antonio Borja, Ignacio Mendiola, and Alexander Apatang.
