Bank of Hawaii team members in the CNMI recently donated over $7,000 to the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter under the bank’s Live Kokua Giving Campaign.
“These personal gifts are important to the Red Cross,” said John Hirsh, ARC NMI Chapter director. “We receive support from the bank each year to support our humanitarian work. This donation is particularly meaningful as it reflects the generosity of each individual employee.”
Hirsh said that Bank of Hawaii has been supporting the Red Cross here in the CNMI for more than 25 years.
“In addition to financial gifts, their BOH team hosts an aid station at our annual Walkathon,” he said.
CNMI Bank of Hawaii vice president Rose Sumor said that Bank of Hawaii employees “enthusiastically participate in our ‘Live Kōkua Giving Campaign’ each year. From choosing beneficiary organizations they’re passionate about to coming up with clever ideas for numerous department fundraisers and making personal donations, our employees work hard to support organizations making a difference in their communities. The Northern Mariana Islands Chapter of the American Red Cross serves the people of Saipan and beyond, and I am proud to work alongside our BOH employees who recognize its value and choose to generously support it time and again.” (Saipan Tribune)
