Blue Haus cruised past JSN Construction, 92-62, during the kick-off game in the United Filipino Organization IT&E 2019 Basketball League last Saturday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Blue Haus hammered JSN Construction in their Masters Division duel after drawing more than half of the its total production from Errol Peredo and Tony Diaz. The two gunners were on target in the curtain-raiser with Peredo firing 29 points an and Diaz adding 20.

Diaz opened Blue Haus’ scoring with a shot from beyond the arc and his team took early control of the game and was never threatened. Two more Blue Haus players finished in double figures with Junar Guiab chipping in 11 markers and Richard Peredo contributing 10. Elmer Esdrelon, Matt Buenabajo, and Bruce Berline combined for 19 more markers for Blue Haus to provide enough support to Peredo and Diaz.

Errol Peredo ended up getting the league’s first Best Player of the Game award.

While Blue Haus’ main scorers got a lot of help from their teammates, JCN Construction drew a good offensive game from only one player—Jun Tabora. The JCN player made 18 points. Ton Alegre was the other double-figure scorer for Construction after delivering 11 points, but most of them came in the first quarter.
