Blue Haus eases past Armatech

Blue Haus got its third win in the 2016 Emon Lodge No. 179 Brotherhood/IT&E Basketball League after dominating Armatech, 66-51, last week at the Civic Center Basketball Court.
Blue Haus limited Armatech to single digit in scoring in the first and second quarter to set up the easy victory and hand the latter its third loss in as many matches.
Armatech scored only 9 points each in the first two periods, allowing Blue Haus to build a comfortable 34-18 halftime advantage. In the first canto, White Capalad nearly equaled Armatech’s output as the Blue Haus shooting guard logged 7 points to lift his team to an 18-9 lead. Three other Blue Haus players canned at least two field goal apiece as they established control in the match, while Armatech was held to three field goals, two of them came from Bong Malasarte and the other one was courtesy of Stephen Tolosa.
In the second canto, Armatech continued to struggle offensively, while Blue Haus’ much younger players were on target to pad their lead to 16 at the break. Angelo Fernando, who had 6 points in the opening canto, added 8 in the second and drew help from his three other teammates to anchor a breakaway.
Armatech then began hitting its shots in the third quarter, but Fernando and company countered to keep their double-digit advantage, 51-35, going into the final canto. In the last fame, Fernando teamed up with Brendon Talania in delivering the killer blows, as they combined for 12 markers en route to Blue Haus’ 15-point winning margin.
Meanwhile, in the other game last week, MJD Enterprises won over GPPC.
