Blanco: It was an honor to serve

Former CNMI Zoning board chair Diego C. Blanco is grateful for having served on the board since 2012.

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios recently accepted Blanco’s courtesy resignation.

The administration also accepted Zoning board member George M. Fleming Jr.’s courtesy resignation.

Blanco said yesterday he is honored and thankful for the opportunity to serve under Torres’ administration.

“The Zoning office is very fortunate to have a very capable administrator and zoning staff. Best wishes to the Torres/Palacios administration,” he said.

When asked about his plans, Blanco said he wants “to be happy and go fishing.”

Blanco was elected Zoning board chair six times since he was first appointed to the board in 2012.

Last Nov. 18, Torres issued a memorandum asking all Cabinet members, board members and commission members to submit courtesy resignation letters.
