The 9 Eleven Str8 Black Ball squeezed out a 7-6 decision over Marianas Water last week to join their sister team at third place in the Budweiser Open 8-Ball Tuesday League.

The win improved Black Ball’s record to 70-47, which is the same mark of Marianas Water as they stay close behind the 73-44 slate of Brannon’s Docomo Hustlers. Idle Amari’s IT&E Destroyers are on top at 83-34. The 9 Eleven Wildboyz (68-49), Beach Beer Masters Touch (66-51), and Brannon’s 670 Builders (38-79) complete the standings.

Rey Hermogenes and Mervin Sahagun clinched the important win for the Black Ball when they defeated Roel Barreto and Rodel Dela Cruz in the final Partner’s 8-Ball event.

The Masters Touch trounced the Builders, 8-5, while the Hustlers dumped the Wildboyz, 9-4, in the other Tuesday League matches.

In last week’s Thursday League, the 9 Eleven 8 Black Ball won the last four games to complete a 9-4 decision over the Brannon’s Jam Shooters.

The Black Ball remains on top with a 69-35 slate, followed by the Amari’s IT&E Homeboyz (63-41), 9 Eleven MJD Warriors (58-46), 9 Eleven Titans (53-41), Sands Team SCS (49-55), Amari’s Intensity 8 (46-58), Jam Shooters (44-60), and VFW Assassins (34-70).

Team SCS edged the Intensity 8, 7-6, while the Homeboyz and Warriors scored similar 8-5 wins over the Assassins and the Titans, respectively.
