Motorcycle club Young Gunz Marianas, alongside the Island Summer Auto Fest, 670 Rock Steady Shop, and some of Saipan’s other car clubs, will be holding a drive-through “Bike-o-Treat” and “Trunk-o-Treat” from 5pm to 9pm or while supplies last on Halloween at the American Memorial Park softball field.

The entrance to the drive-through event is the AMP maintenance building across the street from Hyatt Regency Saipan, and the exit will be the Micro Beach Pavilion parking lot.

Young Gunz Marianas club president Buddy Igitol said in a phone interview yesterday that last year’s “Bike-o-Treat,” which was also a drive-through event at AMP, was a massive success, seeing close to 600 to 700 cars. Expecting similar turnout this year, if not more, and in hopes of maintaining traffic flow in the area, Igitol said the participating clubs are discouraging walk-ins and ask the community to take part in the drive-through.

Igitol said that “Bike-o-Treat” has been an annual event for Young Gunz since 2017, and that when Super Typhoon Yutu devastated the CNMI in October 2018, the club made “Bike-o-Treat” possible that year through members riding their bikes to affected areas and delivering candies to community members.

“Bike-o-Treat” was held at the Marianas Business Plaza in 2019, while last year’s was a drive-through event at AMP that saw a massive turnout.

This year, Igitol expects a big turnout and asks the community to get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up. In line with current COVID-19 safety guidelines, Igitol asks visitors to practice the 3 W’s: wash your hands, watch your distance, and wear a face covering.
