Big sale at Calvary Christian Academy

The soon-to-close Calvary Christian Academy will be having a big sale beginning Monday, during which pretty much all school stuff will be up for grabs.
CCA principal Scott Norman told Saipan Tribune that all sales proceeds would be used to ensure the smooth closure of the institution.
From staplers to books to school furniture, almost everything will be up for sale at “fair market value” from June 18 to July 3, from 7am to 3pm daily. This schedule may be extended, according to Norman.
The school expects an influx of buyers on Monday. In a visit to the campus yesterday, items to be sold were being prepared inside each classroom.
Without citing the monetary value of all items on sale, Norman said that any amount will help CCA, both in short- and in the long-term. He cited as an example the expected utility billings in the months ahead as one of the areas that can be addressed by the money that will be raised.
Among the items on sale are cabinets, shelves, whiteboards, student chairs and desks, school lockers, water dispensers, overhead projectors, books and instructional materials, television sets, and some computers. He disclosed that some of the wooden cabinets for sale are practically brand new and will be offered at fair value.
Norman also promised potential buyers “pretty good deals” on books.
Things up for grabs may be used in homes, offices, and schools. Norman encouraged the public to visit the school campus during the sale period. If it happens that not all items are on display by Monday, Norman assured that more items will be showcased in the following days.
CCA will be closing down beginning this new school year, mainly because of the declining economy that has affected its enrollment numbers. However, the school’s administrative offices will remain open indefinitely until all its students have transitioned to new schools.
Calvary Christian Academy has been around for nearly 30 years and is one of the more reputable schools on the islands.
Norman said that many students are now in the process of transferring to other schools. CCA, he said, is helping them to ensure a smooth transition.
