RBC Mini Rascal tourney tips off Tuesday
The Rollers Basketball Club is putting on its first-ever “Mini Rascal” Youth Basketball Tournament starting at 5:30pm this Tuesday at the Garapan Basketball Court.
The event is open to U10, U12, and U14 players.
Currently there are three U10 teams, three U12 teams, and five U14 developmental squads expected to participate and organizers are still accepting walk-ins.
“We are very excited to offer this event, which has been long in the waiting,” said RBC head coach Joe Diaz in a phone interview yesterday.
“Our group was given a portable adjustable basket last year and we recently were leant a second one to use for next week’s tournament, so we are looking forward to seeing what these little guys can do,” he added.
The goal heights will be lowered and the court size will be shrunk down a bit accordingly, per division.
Half hour matches are scheduled to run throughout the night.
Parent who want their kids to participate, but are not already on a team are requested to show up early.
Organizers are also still looking for a main sponsor to help provide prizes for participating players.
