The Outdoor Chef is coming to Saipan

Chef Peter Duenas, a native of Guam, is scheduled to appear on Saipan as host of the upcoming “Saipan’s Next Top Chef Competition.”

Chef Duenas was formally trained at Century Culinary School in San Diego, California, where he received a degree in Occupational Studies and Hospitality Management. With 20 years of culinary experience in Classical French, Italian, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisines, Chef Peter now features Chamoru Fusion Cuisine in his restaurants on Guam.

Saipan’s Next Top Chef fundraiser will be held at the Pacific Islands Club on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 2pm to 4pm. Major sponsors include the Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation, PIC Saipan, Joeten Enterprises, and Certified Angus Beef.

Five contestants will be competing for third, second, and the Grand Prize awards. An exciting raffle draw plus entertainment from the awesome mime group from Life in the Son Church and Ataktak Dancers will also be part of the fundraising event.

Tickets may also be purchased at the Empty Vessel Ministry Office in Gualo Rai and the Empty Vessel booth at the Garapan Street Market on Thursdays.
